Board members attend monthly Board meetings beginning in September for the subsequent EGYL season. Current Board members and their responsibilities are as follows:
President (Tom Chirichigno, 3rd and 8th grade parent)
- Oversee the program
- Conduct Board meetings and set the agendas
- Handle resolution of disputes within the Board or Program
- Set the calendar of events (dates) for the upcoming season with the Board's help (registration night date, registration deadline, acquisition of fields, etc.)
- Delegate who is to handle which aspects of the calendar we generate as a Board
- Create a checklist of tasks with dates and hold folks accountable Welcome the parents and players at registration night & introduce the Board and coaches
- Rely on the Parent Rep & Coaches Rep to handle communication with the parents and coaches
- Act as liaison to league, WALAX, USLAX, etc.
Vice-President (Peter Lamanna, 8th grade parent)
- Field scheduling for the season
- Work closely with the Coaches Liaison to coordinate fields in the coaches/clubs best interest for ’08 season
- Assist with equipment/storage management
- Fill in for President in their absence
Treasurer (Cheryl Atkinson, 7th grade parent)
- Manage overall finances for the Club, check writing, etc.
- Manage and oversee registration process in November
- Register and pay for each teams' tournaments/jamborees after determining funds and options with Coaches Rep
- Maintain budget and cash flow with reporting via spreadsheet at each board meeting
Secretary (Glen Bodman, 8th grade parent)
- Take meeting minutes at all monthly Board meetings
- Distribute minutes in a timely manner to the Board after such meetings
- Record all email votes and maintain records of email business with incorporation into meeting minutes.
Public Relations (Chris Pothering/Terri Slade, 6th/7th grade parents)
- Generate and distribute letter publicizing registration date/time for our November registration
- Distribute letter (with the help of other Board members) to local schools in both LW and NS school districts
- Distribute same information in the local schools' Parent Organizer where applicable
- Physically place flyers at the junior highs in the area
- Help with placing sandwich boards in well traveled areas around Redmond, Woodinville and Sammamish
- Advertise Club registration in the local newspapers (i.e. Sammamish, Redmond, Bothell, etc.) and the appropriate elementary/junior high newsletters
- Work with Web Master to publicize on web during open registration
Club Team Coordinator (Your Name Here! Think about it! Contact Us!)
- Take all information pertaining to parents/players discussed at Board meetings and forward to all Team Parent Reps (copying Coaches Rep and Coaches for clear lines of communication)
- Bring all pertinent parent/player concerns, questions and information to the Board for discussion. Be the “Parent Voice”
- Coordinate team pictures for the Club with Remember When Photography early on in the season
Coaching Communication Coordinator (Joe Iudice, 5th grade parent)
- Take all information pertaining to coaches discussed at Board meetings and forward to all team coaches (copying Parent Rep for open and clear lines of communication) Solicit coaches input to Board decisions when requested
- Bring all pertinent coaches concerns, questions and information to the Board for discussion
- Be the “Coaches Voice”
Volunteer Coordinator (Teri Norris, 8th grade parent)
- Works with volunteers to ensure there are score keepers, time keepers, sideline managers, communicates needs for volunteers and recruits volunteers! Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator to pitch-in and help the organization run smoothly and so the girls have a great lacrosse experience!
Fundraising Coordinator (Melissa Masterleo, 4th grade parent)
- Leads and coordindates fundraising activities.
