!!! END OF SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS !!!

Welcome to the Eastside… Eastside Girls Youth Lacrosse (EGYL) Organization, the Eastside Eagles.  We look forward to you joining our organization.  Eastside girl's lacrosse is intended to support participation from Elementary to Middle School age youth in the Lake Washington and Northshore school districts.  2010 will be our 8th season for the 7/8 program, the 5th for 5/6, and our 3rd season for the 3/4 girls.  We are a non-profit organization set up to feed all of the high school teams that will exist in this school district.  Our mission is to promote the game of lacrosse and to provide a safe and fun opportunity while emphasizing the importance of good sportsmanship, fitness and teamwork.

As the fastest growing youth team sport in America, lacrosse offers young athletes an opportunity to hone their agility, endurance, eye-hand coordination and team skills while playing.  Lacrosse provides a great opportunity for soccer, basketball and volleyball players to stay sharp in the spring while experiencing something totally unique.

We realize that many of you are new to the sport of lacrosse and have many questions about the game, its rules, and how to follow the action.  Knowledge of the game will come with observation, participation and fellowship with other players, parents and coaches.  We have tried to answer some basic questions on this site.
